Not always. Thick double-coated breeds are built for cold and can overheat. Short-coated, small, lean, senior and very young dogs lose heat faster and usually benefit once nights turn cold.
Sizes are labelled in inches. Measure your dog's back length from the base of the neck to the base of the tail and match it to the inch size. The size selector shows what is available in this colour.

Richpet Cozy Knit Turtleneck Dog Sweater.
Soft, high-density acrylic knit. It is lightweight, stretchable and machine washable.
Not always. Thick double-coated breeds are built for cold and can overheat in a sweater. Short-coated, small, lean, senior and very young dogs lose heat faster and usually benefit once nights turn cold. Shivering, tucking in tight, or hurrying indoors on winter mornings are the signs to watch for.
Sizes are labelled in inches. Measure your dog's back length from the base of the neck to the base of the tail and match it to the inch size. Not every size is stocked in every colour, so the size selector shows what is available.
Message us with your dog's breed, age and back length and we will tell you. The knit stretches, but too loose slips and bunches, and too tight restricts the shoulders.
Do the first wear indoors with treats. Slip it over the head calmly, praise, and take it off after about ten minutes. Repeat for a few days before the first walk in it.
Use it for cold walks and chilly evenings. Take it off in a warm room, when it is wet, or if your dog is panting heavily, since acrylic is a synthetic knit and does not breathe like cotton.
Yes. Wash it after muddy walks so it stays soft and fresh.
